Happy Birthday Evan and Justice!

May 10th, 1995 and May 10, 2006 were special days... in fact Mama had twins,

 just 11 years apart!=)=)

Evan and Justice play big parts in the family... Evan runs a business with Daddy {the best "boss" ever!} takes the family canoeing and hiking, plays mandolin, and lives a life of fixing problems.{There is MUCH more that I could add to that!}

Justice is a big help in the garden, loves to bake, cheerfully does his school, adores Anna-Frances, and is definitely the cutest lil' eight-year-old in the world!

 The day before the boys birthday, everyone but Daddy and Anna-Frances went canoeing down the last third of the Waccasassa River! {the same river that Evan raced on...} We had a great time, and it is overall voted to do it for every birthday in the summer...=)

At first we weren't planning on taking Emaline and Russell, so we gave them a ride at the bridge. But we ended up taking them.

The water is not as blue as the photo portrays...

I didn't want to risk getting my camera damaged, so of course I didn't get pictures along the way... Sorry!

Everyone was hungry and tired, but happy, when we finished our little excursion.

And thus ended the first celebration day. The next day, they opened their gifts and we ate the cake.

Emaline wrapped up her few coins, and a monopoly paper dollar, and gave them to her big brother... She always finds something to give!

The 37th Annual Wild Hog Canoe Race!!!

April 26th, 2014 was a BIG day for the Feldman Family... Not only us, but many people from church too! 

Every year, a canoe and kayak race is held in Gulf Hammock as a charity event to benefit LARC {Levy Association of Retarded Citizens.}Evan went last year with Mr. Herron {a man from church} and this year with his friend Andrei Geist. This year he took fourth place out of 30 others in Recreation class. 

There's bouncy houses, fresh country food, music, and of course the riverside to watch the live entertainment of racers.

It is such a fun event, and wonderful to know that it will help others in need!

There were rides given in an old truck turned into a wagon.

Alayna and Farrah were volunteers in the food line... I had an easy job; take pictures! 333 photos to be exact=)

Bo was a volunteer also... he served fresh boiled peanuts with Mrs. Epperson and Mr. Canova Jr.

Just in front of the orange Exede tent is the finish line.

The first boat to come in was Mr. Edwards. He has raced all 37 times in the first Wild Hog T-shirt!

Mr. Dash and Austin were next. They placed second in the Parent/Youth class.

Everyone loved Mr. Dash's "superman" move! 

Daniel Maynard and Mr. Couch place FIRST in the experienced class. If they're in the race, you automatically know who's winning=)

Tim and Travis Epperson {in yellow shirts} placed 3rd in the Recreation Class. Evan and Andrei came in close behind.

They were puttin' all they had into it=)

Evan captioned this "It's been a whole year, I missed you so much!" Too funny...

And there they go!

Evan didn't even take time to sit down... the reason the photos are blurry, is because my hands were shaking with excitement! 

After they crossed the finish line, Evan dove in the water to cool off! I missed it... Their finishing time was 2 hours, 5 minutes, and 34 seconds. I think they would have made second or third if not for Andrei's cramps along the way...=(

Thaddeus and Octavius Martorell went too. There were a total of 10 boats from church.

Even though we do not know these men, I had to get pictures of them... they were SOOOO funny!

Mamaw and Bompa were there as well as the Cooper family! We had a nice time of fellowship.

Mr. Harding and Walace Harding went.

But they flipped... They were certainly not the only ones to do that though!

Mr. Saint and Jacob Saint did a good job. This is not an easy race to do!

Hungry racers get to eat now! After 8 miles of grueling work, they're sure ready to eat!
